While Anthony spent some time this week at OMMA, I spent most of mine at the IAB's MIXX Conference & Expo. Horn Group had the exciting opportunity to experience Advertising Week from behind the scenes this year as we worked with the IAB to help support the conference and the MIXX Awards. Overall, MIXX was a wildly successful event, with rooms packed from beginning to end.

As usual, the biggest players in the industry used MIXX as a platform to announce important initiatives, like Twitter announcing its "Promoted Accounts," AOL announcing its Project Devil plan and Google promising changes to display ads. The IAB itself also unveiled several projects and research, including its industry-wide competition to develop brand-friendly ad formats, the first "Targeting Local Markets" and "Digital Audio Advertising Overview" reports and an overview of how IAB committees and councils are driving the digital marketing ecosystem.

The conference closed with the prestigious MIXX Awards Gala on Tuesday night, where our CEO Sabrina Horn had the honor of co-presenting the gold, silver and bronze awards in the Product Launch category. Big shout-out to Horn Group client PointRoll, which swept the Rich Media Display Category -- its clients won the gold, silver and bronze awards.

It was incredibly fulfilling to see so many Horn Group clients and friends there, whether as attendees, sponsors, award nominees or case studies. We work with amazing people and companies, and this was their week to shine. It has been a great MIXX (get it?) of learning, networking and, of course, celebrating. Like IAB Chairman David Moore said in his remarks on Tuesday, we work in the greatest industry in the world -- enough said.
